Fitnes bloggerka Kate nedávno na svojom Instagrame s názvom „dedikated_lifestyle“ ukázala, ako sa jej postava zmenila za posledných 6 rokov. Na prvý pohľad sa môže zdať, že poradie fotografií bolo vymenené, ale opak je pravdou. Naozaj neschudla, len nabrala ženské krivky. Kate tvrdí, že sa stala šťastnejšou a v nasledujúcom článku sa dozviete prečo.

Mnohí z nás obdivujeme ľudí, ktorí sú dosť odvážni na to, aby ukázali svetu svoje skutočné pocity a nasledovali svoje srdce. Dúfame, že sa ňou inšpirujete aj vy.

I find it so hard to look at old photos and remember being that girl 💔 – Not because I wish I still looked like that or because I compare my body. But because it reminds me of how obsessed I was. It reminds me of when I would exclude myself from social events so I didn’t have to eat out. It reminds me of losing time with my friends, family and husband because I chose the gym above everything. It reminds me of daily weigh ins, secret binges and constantly wanting to be less. And you know what, it reminds me of sadness, being self conscious and never feeling like I was good enough. – I can tell you that weighing less does not mean your life will suddenly be better. Long term happiness, fulfillment and purpose doesn’t come from short term weight loss. I know that I would much rather be curvier/bigger/thicker, be free from diet culture and have freedom around food, than be „lean“ and consumed by weighing less, seeing those numbers go down every day and counting the calories in my lettuce leaves. . – Remember that sometimes gaining weight is simply a side effect of living your best life, and that „healthy“ looks different on every body. Maybe it’s time to trust yours and let it do it’s thing ❤️

8. januára Kate publikovala fotografiu seba z roku 2014 a 2020. Prešla drastickými zmenami, ale jej príbeh nie je o chudnutí. Táto Austrálčanka sa zmenila v spôsobe myslenia a akceptovala sa. Rozhodla sa prestať držať bežných štandardov krásy a vybrala si vlastný spôsob, ako byť šťastná.

„Je pre mňa také ťažké pozerať sa na staré fotografie a spomenúť si na to, že som bola tým dievčaťom. Nie preto, že by som si želala, aby som stále vyzeral takto vtedy alebo preto, že porovnávam svoje telo. Ale preto, že mi to pripomína, ako som bola posadnutá.

Pripomína mi to obdobie, kedy som sa vylúčila zo spoločenských udalostí, aby som nemusela jesť na verejnosti. Pripomína mi to stratený čas, ktorý som mohla prežiť so svojimi priateľmi, rodinou a manželom, no ja som uprednostňovala fitnes centrum. Pripomína mi to každodenné váženie, tajné jedenie a neustále chcenie vážiť menej.

Pripomína mi to smútok a uvedomovanie si toho, že nikdy nebudem dosť dobrá.

Môžem vám povedať, že nižšia váha neznamená, že váš život bude zrazu lepší. Dlhodobé šťastie, naplnenie a zmysel života nepochádzajú z krátkodobého chudnutia.

Viem, že by som bola radšej žena s krivkami, bez diét a mala by som slobodu pri jedení, než aby som bola „chudá“ a upriamovala sa na to, aby som vážila menej, aby tieto čísla klesali každý deň a aby som počítala kalórie aj v obyčajnom listovom šaláte.

No matter how many mistakes you make or how slow you progress, you’re still way ahead of everyone who isn’t trying 👌🏼😘 #bepositive – Here’s your reminder to be kind to yourself, and don’t only judge progress based on your appearance 🙅🏽 For me personally, I’m starting to notice that my obsessive tendencies post weight loss are slowly dwindling and I’m noticing huge mental gains 👏🏼 ➡️I’m not weighing myself every day, ➡️I’m not feeling guilty after eating certain foods, ➡️I’m not obsessing over how many calories I burn when I train, + ➡️I’m eating foods I’ve feared and restricted myself from for years. – All of this whilst losing weight and still eating over 2000 calories a day 🙌🏼 Who wouldve thought! 🤔 #lifesgood – P.S These amazing leggings are from @lululemonausnz @lululemon 😍

Pamätajte, že niekedy je priberanie na váhe len vedľajším účinkom žitia vášho najlepšieho života a že „zdravie“ vyzerá na každom človeku inak. Možno je načase veriť tomu vášmu.“

Diet break day 1 #nailedit 👌🏼 – A diet break is NOT an excuse for infinite calories 🙅🏽 It does not mean I stop tracking my intake, it does not mean I get to eat burgers and donuts for every meal 🍔🍩, and it does not mean I stop thinking about the nutritional content of my food or how it’s fueling my body. – A diet break simply aims to „reset“ your metabolism, keep your body guessing, give you a little more freedom with food, ease the stresses of dieting and help your compliance long term. Today was day 1/9 of my diet break and after a solid 16 weeks of „dieting“ I enjoyed every single calorie 😉 – Don’t get me wrong, this break is definitely a scary process and a big mental hurdle for me 🤔 I’m purposely eating more and I know that I’m not likely to lose weight over the next week or so, but I’m all about challenges-mental and physical, so bring on the burgsss 🍔🍔 – Also, stay tuned for a new video tomorrow morning! 😘 YouTube link in my bio as always! 🎥
